Jessica founded The Savory Grape because of her passion for wine! Simply put, she wanted to share her knowledge and joy of wine with others in a non-stuffy environment. Jessica loves to help those who are just starting out. As she says "Wine should not be intimidating." From travels in the US and Europe, Jessica has brought her experiences into this boutique shop that has received recognition by the Wall Street Journal, Wine Spectator, RI Monthly, Providence Journal, Providence Business News & Edible Rhody. Jessica also founded The Savory Affair.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Jessica worked in global public relation firms at Feinstein Kean in Cambridge, MA, and Hill & Knowlton Strategies in Washington, DC. Jessica has received the Top 40 Under 40 & Women to Watch awards by Providence Business News. She holds a BA in Communications, Magna Cum Laude, and a MA in Psychology. She has completed the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. Jessica is on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association, Southern New England, and serves on the Advisory Board for the East Greenwich Summers Arts and Festival Organization and Advancing Women's Excellence. If you don't see her, then she may be keeping up with her 10 year-old daughter or traveling to find great things to bring to RI.

Migrating her passion, in 2001 she moved to America and started her own catering business in Rhode Island. After moving to New England, her life involved going to culinary school, learning about great wines and traveling to different vineyards. In 2008, she graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in culinary arts and hit the ground running. She then traveled around western Turkey for a month just to tour the spectacular vineyards there. At The Savory Grape, Tulay weaves her knowledge, expertise and love of wine into her everyday culinary experiences and runs the wine education program there.

St. Feuillien Grisette Beer

Tom is a native Texan who's been in the industry for over a decade, mostly in the world of craft beer. After studying Journalism at the University of Texas, his travels kept bringing him back to the world of wine and spirits, no matter where he was. He's a devotee of sociology essays, crime fiction, old movies, weird music, and distance running. His life was changed forever when he ordered his first pint of cask ale - Brains Best Bitter - strictly on the strength of the name. Ask him what's good to drink, and he'll keep you occupied for a few minutes at least. He and his wife currently live in Pawtuxet Village with their cat, Wopner.
