Victoria Pink Gin Cocktail
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 lemon, juiced, about 4 tablespoons
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries
  • 3 cups Gin Lane 1751 Small Batch Victoria Pink Gin (about 1 bottle)
  • 3-4 cups club soda (Fever Tree)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • St Elder Blood Orange Liqueur (optional see note below) - available on our web site

1. In a large pitcher, lightly muddle the strawberries and basil with the lemon juice and sugar; set aside. Slice more strawberries and basil leaves and put in pitcher along with the gin and club soda. Pack the pitcher full of ice and serve.

Make-ahead: You can make this ahead; mix everything except the club soda and ice, then refrigerate overnight. A night in the refrigerator will also help the strawberries add more flavor and color to the drink. You can always add more strawberries to each glass depending on how much you want.

Makes about 10, five-ounce servings.

Other Note: This is a drier style cocktail. If you want to perk up the sweetness then add either more sugar or a tablespoon or two of St Elder Blood Orange liqueur.
