EMPATHY: Understanding and Entering into Another's Feelings

Morgan was born in Hanover, NH where the Green Mountains stretch almost the

Jazzy

full length of the state and the Connecticut River flows North to South on its border with Vermont. Morgan now lives in East Greenwich, RI where the Atlantic Ocean meets brilliant sunsets. In her first display at The Savory Grape she drew upon NH and RI landscapes. Her fine sense of color combined with her expressive personality guided each brush stroke.

 

A self-learner with a creative spirit, Morgan has evolved and brings something completely different to her canvases. Rather than portraying her own emotions and memories, she channels them through a new vehicle, the human figure. Morgan is increasingly aware of her sensitivity to and vicarious feelings for the thoughts and experiences of others. In this series of paintings, she captures the empathy for those who have shared their life with her and frees it on her canvases.
