White Wines

  • 2006 Snoqualmie Sauvignon Blanc, Washington. Organically grown, this Washington State Sauvignon Blanc is full of bright citrus & melon flavors that leave the mouth with a mouthwatering feeling. For a fresh white that will pair with different salads and vegetable dishes, this is a value selection that will accommodate many palates. ($8.99)
  • 2003 Darting Riesling Kabinett, Germany. Displaying inviting aromas of peach and apricot, this Riesling has softened over time giving it an off-dry feel with a lovely, crisp acidity and minerality. This wine is just the thing to kick your turkey up a notch. ($13.99)
  • 2007 Toscolo Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Italy. This light-medium bodied white wine has a delicately aromatic bouquet of white flowers, pears and honeysuckle and a full-flavored palate rich in citrus and almond nuances. Balance is key to this wine as it relates to food pairing, not sweet, yet not overly acidic or dry. Also, it is well suited for sipping while waiting for that turkey thermometer to pop up. ($16.99)
  • 2006 Marc Kreydenwiess Andlau Riesling, Alsace, France. The Kreydenweiss Andlau Riesling is an extremely delicate, dry and mineral wine. This wine has been hand crafted in a traditional style and with only 700 cases produced it is a special wine, perfect for Thanksgiving. ($24.49)

Red Wines

  • 2007 Cesari Duetorri Pinot Noir, Italy. This wine shows the bright delightful side of Pinot with a spicy bouquet of black cherry and strawberry. The wine floats across the palate with a display of soft fruit flavors followed by soft tannins. Its velvety smooth texture is irresistible. ($9.99)
  • 2005 Chateau Tour D'Auron Rouge. This beautifully structured Bordeaux offers cassis and chocolate on the nose. It has strong hints of black fruit that is nicely balanced. Velvety smooth, it would pair well with sweet potatoes and a hearty sausage stuffing. ($15.99)
  • 2006 Schug Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, California. This Pinot Noir is complex with a rich bouquet full of cherries, berries and hint of spicy new oak. Flavors of bright cherry, currant and strawberry are followed by a spicy, smooth texture and an elegant finish. A special wine for a special holiday. ($23.49)
  • 1998 Gianni Voerzio "la Serra" Barolo, Italy. From the La Serra vineyard, this Barolo has received 90 points by WS. It has a lovely perfume of roses, blackberries & raspberries. It's full-bodied with ripe & satisfying fruit, firm yet round tannins & a long, fruity finish. This takes Thanksgiving to an entirely different level. ($91.99)

Dessert Wines

  • 2006 Easton Late Harvest Zinfandel, California. You may remember when we first brought this wine to your attention several weeks ago. It is definitely one for our Thanksgiving table. Picked ultra-ripe, it has rich, raspberry milk chocolate flavors that excite the palate and offer an attractive spiciness. Please try this with the Thanksgiving dessert that doesn't fit the traditional pumpkin pie category - anything chocolate. ($23.99)
  • 2006 Domaine de Fenouillet Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, France. The Muscat for this wine is picked at optimum levels of maturity to achieve maximum sugar concentration. This lovely, light desert wine has aromas and flavors of peaches and vanilla and is a must have with pumpkin pie, creme brulee and fruit tarts. ($23.99)
  • The Black Chook Sparkling Shiraz, Australia. Want the best of both worlds? This wine offers it all! A full bodied offering that combines attributes of fruit with tannin, sweetness and bubbles to deliver rich concentrated flavors and a full and rewarding palate. If you think outside the box, this is a selection to consider. ($17.99)
